Featured Adopt-A-Bull: Buck

Buck is an intelligent 11 yr old pit bull whose secret to living a long life is obviously stopping to smell the roses…the mailbox…the neighbor….and anything else that he happens upon! His ever wagging tail tells the story of a dog with lots of enthusiasm for the simple things in life – a comfy place to sleep, enough food and a lap to lay his head in. Not much is known about Buck’s life before being dumped at the shelter for having the audacity to grow old, but he has definitely had some training as he understands basic commands, rides well in a car and walks nicely on a leash. He is crate trained, house trained and recently neutered; and he loves nothing more than to be your shadow or curl up with you on the couch if allowed (and if not, he’s just as happy to stretch out on the floor by your feet). Buck gets along with his female housemate, a short yet hefty English bulldog mix. He has attended daycare and plays well with other dogs. Buck would prefer a home without kitties, unless you are committed to working on improving his feline manners. He hasn’t been kid tested, but would probably do fine with older children as his energy level is moderate. Don’t be fooled by Buck’s graying muzzle. While he is an elderbull, he’s still up for an active lifestyle and would love someone to take him on long walks and make him a beloved part of the family.
